Does it apply to jobs for me?
Almost. Pip writes the CV and cover letter, and Apply with Pip fills in the application form with your details and attaches the documents. You check everything and press submit yourself: Pip never sends an application or emails anyone on your behalf.
How much does it cost?
Pip is free, with every feature and no limits. You only need your own Claude or ChatGPT plan. Your files stay yours.
Where does my information go?
Your profile, CVs, applications and notes are kept in a folder on your computer. To do the work, the AI you connect reads what it needs under your own Claude or ChatGPT account. There is no Pip account to create.
Why do I need a Claude or ChatGPT plan?
That's what does the reading and writing. You sign in with your own plan, so you pay Anthropic or OpenAI directly for what you already use, and nothing per search.
Which job boards does it search?
Several job boards out of the box, plus a general web search. You can add any job board or a company's own careers page, and Pip sets it up and tests it. The same job found on two boards shows up once.
Can it improve my LinkedIn profile?
Yes. Pip's LinkedIn review scores your profile for the jobs you want and rewrites your headline, About and experience in versions ready to paste, with the search terms recruiters use in your field. It never edits LinkedIn for you.
Is it only for tech jobs?
No. It works for any field: tell Pip the roles you want, from nurse to store manager to designer, and it picks a CV layout that suits the field.
Does it work in other languages?
Yes. Pip reads and scores postings in other languages, such as Portuguese or German, and writes your CV in the language you choose.
Does it work on an Intel Mac?
Not yet. The Mac version needs Apple silicon (M1 or newer).
How do I update it?
You don't have to. Pip downloads new versions in the background and shows Restart to update when one is ready; your folder and settings stay. The Microsoft Store version updates through the Store.
What you need
- A computer
- A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) on macOS 13 or later, or a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC.
- An AI plan
- Claude Pro or Max, or ChatGPT Plus or Pro, paid to Anthropic or OpenAI. If you already have one, there is nothing else to set up.
Installing: Windows
Easiest: get it from the Microsoft Store. It installs without a warning and updates itself. With the setup file: open it, and if Windows says it protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.
Installing: Mac
- Open the downloaded file and drag Pip Job Search into Applications.
- Open it from Applications.
- macOS asks if you want to open an app downloaded from the internet: click Open.
Pip is signed and checked by Apple. From then on it updates itself.
